Day 16: The Life Of A Palestinian Citizen of Israel

Today was probably the most powerful day of trip so far.

We started the day with a visit to Jatt High School, where we met with the Assistant Principal. Next, it was off to see the wall, where we had a run-in with the Israeli military (see below).

After a brief midday break, we met with friends of Abed’s family who spent a year living in West Lafayette (our hometown). Then it was time for a late lunch, a relaxing afternoon and an early dinner.

We capped off the evening with an extremely interesting (and long) visit with the family of Abed’s brother-in-law at nttheir home in a nearby village, where we learned many important lessons (see below).
